The Hidden Questions Challenge

After your guided tour, take on our summer family challenge! Keep your eyes open, explore the different areas of the site, and try to find the 8 questions hidden throughout the village.

Answer the questions correctly and return to the front desk to receive your participation prize*!

To complete the experience, enjoy some flavours inspired by Indigenous traditions: a taste of smoked sturgeon or a delicious serving of blueberry bannock awaits you!

*Participation prizes are for children only, limit of one prize per child.

Discoveries & Flavours

Combine the joy of learning with the pleasure of tasting through this culinary experience inspired by Haudenosaunee traditions!

Following your guided tour of the site, our team will invite you to discover two unique flavours: a piece of smoked sturgeon and a delicious serving of blueberry bannock.

Threads of Time

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the Interpretation Centre invites you to take part in a collective experience: the creation of a commemorative wampum belt, guided by Kanien’kehá:ka artist Kelly Back.

Throughout the day, visitors will be invited to add their personal touch by weaving a few rows of beads into this collective artwork, which will later be displayed in the museum as a lasting memory of this shared moment.

A rare opportunity to speak with Kelly about her art, techniques, and inspirations, while discovering the richness of this artistic tradition.

The Past at Your Fingertips: Archaeological Dig Simulation

Get ready to get your hands dirty! Join archaeologist Maude Chapdelaine and discover what field archaeology is really like—from excavation techniques to how discoveries are dated.

A unique opportunity to explore the methods of the profession and, most importantly, ask all your questions to a real archaeology professional.

Make Your Own Corn Husk Doll

Join our guest artist Maggie Downer for a corn husk doll-making workshop!

Discover a traditional craft passed down through generations among Haudenosaunee peoples and be guided in creating your very own handmade doll.

A meaningful opportunity to connect with this living tradition and exchange with Ms. Downer about her knowledge and journey.
